Yo Maps proposed to the management of Kwacha Music Awards to let him sponsor two of the categories.
Chile One who people take as Yo Map’s competitor wrote a post addressing Yo Map’s proposal to sponsor awards.
Chile One appeared to the management that they keep the awards transparency and not let anyone come in between addressing Yo Maps indirectly.
Few minutes after Chile’s post, Yo Maps replied by stating that he has withdrawn from the Kwacha Music Awards.
According to Yo Maps he feels he can contribute directly to the growth of the industry through sponsoring two categories as he stated earlier.
People on social media received this proposal by Yo Maps with mixed feelings with others are siding with the statement that Chile One made adding Yo Maps indirectly.
Kwacha Music Wards is the Zambian music based awards where Zambian artists are recognized under different categories.
For example best artists per province, where they nominate all the artists in that province.
People will vote who they feel is the deserving artist to be awarded in that particular province.
There is also song of the year category, where they nominate the song that has made waves the entire year.
And again people vote on which song they feel deserve to be song of the year.
That’s all about the Kwacha awards and Yo Maps saga, He has given them free hype just him withdrawing had people talking one week straight.
Here is Why Yo Maps Can’t Sponsor the Awards
Yo Maps can’t sponsor the Kwacha Music awards for the sake of the dignity of the the management and to maintain the transparency.
Yo Maps is actively in the Industry that alone disqualifies him from been among the sponsors of the awards.
And the fact that Yo Maps didn’t approach the management privately, he instead he took the matter on social media.
Big artists like Macky2 and many more will feel disrespected that their fellow nominee is sponsoring the awards they are all been nominated under if the management were to allow Yo Maps to be among the sponsors.
Imagine how Messi will feels if Ronaldo was to sponsor of English Premier League?
